How long it actually takes
Now I can see how long it actually takes to get to pitching temp on brewday. With the Cyclone counter flow chiller I have just been recirculating it back into the kettle thru the whirlpool and measuring wort temp in kettle 11 g batches have been about 20 minutes. Now I can see where the temp is coming out of the chiller and maybe cut that time of using water in half.

Pretty cool (no pun intended). It looks like your amassing quite a collection of awesome brewing gadgets!

Very nice

I'd love to watch you brew. I'm going to have to find a way to invite myself to your place one day.

Anytime, have 2 extra bedrooms and just found out today there are over 300 brewery/brewpubs in NE Ohio. Kind of find that hard to believe though, but we could go searching!Beer-lord wrote:I'd love to watch you brew. I'm going to have to find a way to invite myself to your place one day.

I've often thought about buying an inline thermometer, every time I fill up a fermentor in fact. Steve what outside diameter are the in/out connectors? The connection on my counterflow chiller is 1/2 inch outside diameter.
On closer look, I've answered my own question. This 1/2 inch one will work perfectly for me, using a length of 1/2 inside diameter silicon tubing to connect it.

This is 1/2" barbs. I got it from Adventures in Homebrewing, they also carry the 3/8".
