I had psychedelic colored coating on my entire fermenter after I brewed the Equinox beer. That beer turned out good. I have no idea what was up with it, I think it was just weird oils from the Equinox hops which was very oily maybe interacting with a bit of beer stone that I didn't see before then and turning it funky looking. Whatever it was scraped off as multi-colored thin strips after I blasted it with PBW. (the PBW didn't take it off, I had to scrub it and then acid wash it too).

So pink Krausen.

Good thing the judges aren't Citra sensitive Chris. :p

Sooooooo........just mentioned to Jody (my wife for you new guys following along) that your beer scored 43.5. She said "That's AWESOME" (she does understand BJCP scoring even though she doesn't drink.) She ask "With what beer?" Well I just happened to have half a glass of my Simply Simarello that I kegged last weekend. She took a smell and went Mmmmmm. I knew what was coming next as my wife has always been my litmus test for IPAs. I ask if she had water handy, which she did, she tasted, she went YUCK! (which is high praise by the way) and grabbed for the water.

Chris and Paul, this beer is deemed YUCKY by my wife which ranks it right up there with the best IPAs. :clink:

Nice story Jeff. I remember the YUCK face and that is high praise.
I can't wait to brew this again but have more games to play with other recipes first. And it starts Sunday in our recent heat and humidity. Feels like old times.

You've gained some weight, maybe cut back on the beer a bit or go towards the session side.
Plus, you must be feeling blue too! :)

:p

I took a small sip of this over the weekend and it's not carbed yet. My system really seems to take 2 full weeks before it's ready, but I was hoping it would be done sooner. It smelled wonderful so I know I'm in for a treat this coming weekend!

Fist pour last night!

I'll do a proper review soon, I had a bit of a headache last night so I couldn't appreciate this the way I should. But it was damn good.

The iphone has a 'slo-mo' option but I'm not sure that's how he did it. Lots of video programs allow you to do that as well.
But, it was a painfully, slow pour and I think I drink a pint faster than the pour was. :D

The answer I'm looking for is who's holding the phone? One hand is on the glass, the other on the tap.
