Nice Whamo.....was it 001 or 002 you had? I've seen the mixed 12-packs with Luponic, Easy Jack, Pale 31 and either Union Jack or Double Barrel Ale in them and that's quite the mixer!

It is #002. I found it at BevMo but make sure to look inside the pack to look at the bottle labels. Some were still #001 while others were #002.

I tried this last night and really liked this version. While 001 was good, this was really good. From memory I found this one to be more complex. If I didn't know better, I'd swear there was a Simcoe in here based on the smell. I wish I had the palette to be able to really describe this but I don't, sorry.

I can say it wasn't bitter at all. I'd say it's a hop-forward Pale Ale rather than a typical IPA. I'll try to post thoughts WHILE drinking the next one, but I did really like it.

On the malt side, it is a bit thin. I realize that is probably by design to better accent the hops, but thin is thin.

With that being said, if anybody wants to buy a round count me in :D

Forgot to post my thoughts on this one the other night.

My initial reaction was that it was somewhere between an Easy Jack (some of the same hops are used in both) and a Deschutes Fresh Squeezed which is Mosaic/Citra.
As I worked through the beer my thoughts were that it got a bit less enjoyable. They reference using 9 different hops in this and maybe that was too much going on - or maybe my taste buds were off that night.

My recollection of it at the moment is that it wasn;t as good as #002 and maybe on par with #001.
But, I will have another tomorrow night and post my thoughts "live" instead of trying to work from a memory that is likely shot from too many migraines

#004 is out. I'm going on the hunt!

"Luponic Distortion 004

Nov 2016 - Feb 2017

Four South African hops take the lead in Revolution 004. Two are experimental hops with pronounced tropical fruit qualities, along with distinct white grape and floral notes. The third hop presents a lively passion fruit character, while the fourth is more classically noble in profile. Revolution 004 is a departure from the more citrusy stone fruit personality of Revolution 003, but as always you will sense common threads. And once again, all of these bold fruit aromas and flavors are derived wholly from pure hops."
