Want Great Beer? Come to Michigan!

Post by LouieMacGoo »

I've been telling ya'll to come here to Michigan and check out the beer scene for years. I'm telling ya we've got some of the best breweries you could ever hope for! :fillup
You probably already knew Grand Rapids is a top American city for craft beers.
But nobody should overlook Detroit as a big-time brewery destination.
A recent study of beer and wine cities by Infogroup has concluded that Grand Rapids (No. 3) and Detroit (No. 5) are among the Top 5 metropolitan areas for beer in the United States, joining the likes of No. 1 Portland, No. 2 Denver and No. 4 Seattle.

Because, I'm already in Michigan!

The last 2 years I have visited some of these breweries, either with Leigh or on my own, and there are some very good places to wet your whistle at. From between Ann Arbor and Detroit you can find quite a few great places to get a craft beer. Although for one weekend a year in March there is a considerably better presence of beer when I show up with 3 (25g total) of my award winning brews to serve at a Charity event for the Southeast Michigan Browns Backers  !

Yea Steve, maybe you ought to think about moving that "event" farther down south where others can enjoy it? I'm considered a CHARITY CASE so...........
