Have any of you Borg tried this yet?
I saw two, Dortmunder and Porter and grabbed the Porter...
Gonna hit some ribs with it tonight...

I had no idea it existed. But their food is decent so I think it's likely to be good.

Mmmm... Smellin' purty good up in here right now...
I'm getting tomato based barbeque sausece and porter!
If the taste holds up I might have to try the Dortmunder variety...

Great Lakes beers are very good and I drink a lot of them, but didn't know they had a BBQ sauce, will have to try it if I can find it around here........

Re: Hey Cleveland! (or anybody else...)
Ok, so here is my informal review...
It's tasty...
As it cooks, smells of tomato and porter...
Now mind you, I started late this afternoon and had to use the oven in order to eat in time this evening as I only had an hour.
Therefore, I cannot say how this would be if I had used either the smoker or the grill... But...
I think both would certainly add something and since I often throw my smoked items on the grill for a bit right at the end anyway, the additional charring would be quite welcome with this sauce. ( couldn't really get that in the oven today given the time allotted and other tasks in between )
I think it's tomato heavy and brown sugar light... ( I tend to like my sauce with more dark brown sugar to add molasses notes and a bit more sweetness than the tomato heavy mix provides my palete... )
I think I will grab a sixer of the actual EF Porter ( which is a fav of mine anyway ) and for the next go around, I'll add some more porter and some dark brown sugar.
It already has a bit of heat which seems just about right for me.
Wonder what the Dortmunder flavor tastes like...

Seen these in the grocery store for about a year, have not tried though. Thanks for the review.
