This years comp last Saturday snuck up on me even though I am an active member of the club, usually this is held mid May or early June. Luckily the dropoff location and the comp are held 5 minutes from home @ Willoughby Brewing Co., got my 6 entries bottled on drop off day, or so I thought, my Irish Red keg was kicked so I ran downstairs bottled a cider ran up to the computer to change the entry, since it was paid for already, NO ciders or meads this year put those 2 in the fridge and drank later. ran back downstairs figured I will bottle up the German Pils and enter it as American Blond also. Ended up with Silver for this afterthought of an entry. Talked to the 2 judges they nearly gave it Gold, it was a toss up with the winner of the category whose entry was runner up in Best of Show. As Max used to say, "I was this close, 99!"

That's awesome Steve.
I gotta get me a bench capper and bottle some stuff for comps one of these days. That and maybe a Brewers Edge. Just need that giant credit card balance to go down...
