I sure hope so as I'm do an extraordinary beer. Like Maharaja, it may not be close to DuganA but does that really matter if its good? I hope I don't jinx it by talking it up. We all know how hard I am on my beers.

Sorry Ron, I am only full of hot air so I'm not able to 'PSI it' to you. But I may be doing growler fills on Thursdays between 7-9 pm.

I'm wondering if it's not hoppy enough, should I use my new Randall Jr to give it more aroma and flavor?

I'm thinking that if it's not hoppy enough then you need to start just dipping raw hops like chewing tobacco.

This one is kegged. Gawd the sludge at the bottom was huge....yeast and hops. That's why I brew 6 gallons so I can get 4.5 out of a batch.
It smelled pretty darn good but I actually liked the taste last week before it was dry hopped with 8.5 oz. Yes, I said that.
It's still green but it went right into the kegerator so in 3-4 weeks, I should be bragging about this one. :uwish:

First real pour and I'm liking it. Gonna compare to the real deal next weekend.

Pretty darn good. I have a smile when drinking it.
My tanks are out of gas so I need to get more pronto.

Its an excellent beer.......even not 100% carbed....it has an even taste from start to finish, a mild but noticeable aroma and it was pure as water.

Best beer I had today....and I even had a Green Flash Green Bullet (that surprisingly, wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped).

Great day for brewing, it was!

We did a side by side with my DuganA and the real deal and I really enjoyed both. The aroma of mine was a tad bit more up front and mine was crystal clear (mine's on the left).
Mine seemed to be more smooth throughout while the DuganA was right up front and then seemed to end quickly. Actually, I expected a bit more from both as I thought they'd be more in your face.
Both have a pretty big malt backbone to back up the hops. Avery is a great brewery and I wish they shipped their beers here as I'd love to be able to share more of their beers. They are not shy of their hoppage and neither am I.

Dude....this might be the best beer you've ever sent me. We cracked into this one last night after a few *hic* and I was worried about some palette fatigue but smelling this was taking in smelling salts. Wowzers. This is right up there with the best smelling beers EVER.

With the amount of hops in this I expected it to be resiny but it wasn't at all. It was pure hop goodness on the nose and immediately when it hit your mouth. The upfront bitterness faded quickly into a smooth fruity, piney, juicyness that seemed to coat my mouth. Then the malt finished it off pretty clean - almost like a cleansing rinse.

I didn't grab a pic because we split the bottle, but my friend asked when done, "Is there more of that one in the fridge?". We likely.

Oh, the amount of trub in this and the Fresh Squeezed was C-R-A-Z-Y. I was able to pour without problem but you weren't kidding about them having a lot of crap in them (to be expected on this one, for sure). It didn't affect clarity or the taste at all - don't worry.

This one is a winner-winner-chicken-dinner.

The trub on the Fresh Squeezed is all due to a broken auto siphon. My DuganA wasn't too dirty. I need to use the beer gun more often though.
I actually expected more aroma but I always complain about my beers. My friends in Cali Facetimed me Thursday night to tell me they think I should this again soon. They liked it very much too.

Did you get any alcohol flavors at all as it warmed up? This beer definitely doesn't like beer 'Coors cold'. The hops disappear when its too cold so 46-48 is perfect.

Thanks for the compliments. So glad you enjoyed this one.

Stop it, just stop it, putting what ever is is you put around the bottle caps that is. Keep brewing it, just keep brewing it, this beer that is.

I'm try to let it warm up to see if anything changes, but it's not gonna happen. This poured a beautiful ruby copper (excuse me, that burp was just hoppy heaven) color with a nice thick head that is still solid across the glass. The aroma that hits the nose is thick dank piney goodness.
Smooth bitterness up front the follows all the way to the end with a fantastic rich mouthfeel. It's almost gone now and it's just as good as when I had the first sip. Well brewed my friend, well brewed.

If I understand you correctly, what you don't like is the tape I put around the caps, right? I can fix that easily.
Thanks, I'm not sure it's as good to me as I think it's not as flavorful as it should be and maybe the hops took over (did I really just say that?) but, it's a big beer so it is what it is.

I agree. If there is a beer club sign up to ensure receiving a bottle of the next round of this, I want to sign up!
