Tonight is judgement night! It started on 2 weeks prior to big brew day with revamping my Kolsch recipe and ends tonight with judging. Winner gets to make and serve their beer on tap at our local brewery/tap room Tin Cannon Brewery. I think it has a very good chance to win! It is sooooo smooth and flavorful. Crossing my fingers!

Thanks! Hops win out again. Figured we had a good shot since they had a wheat and hefe on tap already but the winner was a very hippy American wheat which tasted like a mild iPa wheat to me. That's how it goes. Finished in 3rd out of 6. Disappointed because I know this beer is delicious but that's how the cookie crumbles. Going to enter it into a comp and see how the feedback comes in.

Really can't wait for Sunday to be here! Never thought I would look forward to the end of a weekend so bad!! Pick up the beer stand in the morning and my wife leaves Monday for a work conference. Guess what this guy is doing all next week while she is gone! Get to build a brew stand and get it ready for its brew day!

I went to my LHBS today (first time since we got sick). Sadly, I found the manager(who was going thru cancer treatment) has now got "spots" on his liver. I was offered his job ('till he can return). While I am proud he ask me( Joe{the owner} has been brewing over 20 years)I have to acknowledge: I know nothing I didn't learn from the Borg...further, (I like Paul, even if he won't get off my back about my LBKs) I pray, I only get enough experience Paul knows he can call me if the treatments makes him feel sick.

Best of luck with helping out Jim. Sounds like fun if it weren't for Paul's illness.
I hope he beats it.

Was able to get some productive work done on the stand tonight. Posted some pictures in the thread. Only need to mount 1 more burner, plumb the propane lines, get the pump set up, and do the electrical work for the pump/pumps.

Watching Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, restaurant in Long Beach used oil infused with hops. The oil bottle was about half full of whole cones, didn't say what kind of hops though.
