I think I will buy another used keg tomorrow. My LHBS guy sells them for $65, he cleans and sanitize and pressure check $65. The last used one I got from Morebeer I had to buy a new cover and now the poppets are leaking and it was quite banged up to start with, could have bought a new one for all that.

Check out AIH. They almost always have sales and all the used kegs I've gotten from them have come to me in great shape. Got 2 new ones from them (imports but work just fine) at a great price recently.

Not sure why some beers will do this. I know a good washed glass and soap rinse will, this after 10 min and decided should have one more for the road (ha ha just to go upstairs, shower and watch tv.) not driving anywhere. A morebeer recipe. 8lbs California select (a 2 row) 1 lb c-10, .5 carapils a lot of Citra... I like.

IIRC, it has to do with certain proteins. But I'm going off memory and don't have much more to add than that...so this post isn't really all that helpful

I've gotten huge lace on really hoppy beers too. Not sure why hops do that, but sometimes they do.

Turns out building a Jocky Box is easier than I thought.

Hope so. As soon as I pick up a toy hauler, I'm building on for the back, as well as a brewing station. Glamping is going to be soooooo much fun!!

I know one thing, building another barn by myself is hard on this old retired guy. My back hurts every night, beer and a hot shower is good on pain relief.

Yesterday I received a package from a friend who works at the Bruery. He's offered many times to send me beer as employees get some to take home each pay day. I just needed to pay shipping ($35). I think he was very generous. Even got a nice tacker sign too!
I've had a few of these before and their Imperial Stouts are killer. Even more so if you drink at 19% bottle by yourself.

Damn....all that for $35. You lucky SOB!!!! Can that guy be my friend too?
