speaking of that, I don't know what's different (except the water I brew with) but my trub has stuck to the bottom of the bottle while pouring. It only comes out when I rinse out the bottle.

I'll let that sink in a minute....
So frickin' true, I do it every time I pop a store bought craft brew or even otherwise...then I realize, HEY MORE BEER in there...
Thanks Hat and I thought I was the only one

YKYAHBW: You travel out of state and instead of visiting some museum or other cultural joint, you say to your wife: "Let's check out some local homebrew stores around here."

Not just this but you catch yourself planning trips (LOML and I like to take day or weekend drives that are "somewhat unplanned") that revolve around visiting local breweries.

You were thinking that adding beer to a recipe for dinner tonight would be totally AWESOME and then decided you'd rather keep that bottle for drinking (read: pipeline hoarding).

Continuing with the road trip theme: "We're going to visit my mother in law? Good! there's a great LHBS near there!" Plus, actually, my M I L is a lot of fun.
And BB, when I cook with beer, it's a brew I'm not crazy about!

YKYAHBW:
You're cooling off the BBQ mop sauce you just made before you transfer it to the sprayer, and you suddenly realize that you don't need to cool it to pitching temp; mid-90s is fine....
I did this yesterday and felt like such a fool when I realized it was already cooler than my body temperature, and that was all I needed it to be.

YKYAHBW...
...you start to recognize the bottles in your inventory by their shape.
"That's a Sierra Nevada or a Lagunitas...."
"That's a Dogfish Head...."
"That's Anchor...."

WAIT! WHAT? That's the main foundation of my pipeline management system. You mean there's something oddly obsessive about it?
Now you really KYAHB when you know you are going to move and will be getting rid of all your beer bottles but still sort them into storage boxes by shape and style and put in a corner of the garage just 'cause... well you never know.

Some bottle designs are really unique and pretty cool. Dogfish Head, besides having the logo embossed in the glass, has a unique kind of flare just below the lip of the bottle.
Anchor bottles, while being "shorties", don't have "shoulders" like Sierra Nevada and Lagunitas have. They slope gently upwards.
Then there's the very unusual bottles that I can't remember the name of....they make an ESB, but I believe they're an American brewery. The bottles are shorties, but have a sort of collar in the bottle right around the shoulder. They're pretty neat looking.

When you go to the produce aisle of your local grocery and think of the awesome beer it would make instead of eating it.

I was fishing with my son tonight and noticed some sort of nutty fruit on the cyprus trees. I picked one, smelled it and wondered if i could use it as a hop substitute. I'm going to have to do some research because it smelled good.

When you have barley in your pants.
Perhaps I should explain: I was at the LHBS homebrew meeting, and bought a 50# bag of 2 row. When i put it over my shoulder on the way out, a taped tear split, and poured down my back, inside my shirt. Into my pants, my socks, even my underwear. I took a small barley shower. The nice young clerk offered to make up the lost malt, but it was only a couple of ounces, if even. I suggested we tear all the bags, for the laughs.
The other reason I know I'm a brewer is that the club members asked me to start using larger bottles, so they can have bigger samples of my beer. It was a good night.
