BB2 ordered some poly carbonate (?) glasses for when he drinks beer out on the patio and this is what happens when I put beer in them dry:

If I rinse a bit of water in them they pour like this:

I'll leave it to him to explain as I got a bit lost in translation (I was enjoying my perfectly fine pour at the time).

Had to kick myself. On the one actual chemistry question how they lined things up looked like they were giving me the answer. Not the answer I would have chosen if things were lined up differently but hey who was I too argue. I should have. Not complaining. Still learning and having fun and havent been kicked out of class yet for being too stoopid.

Email today says it will be tentatively due on Monday, which is good because this late week/weekend is a mess for me, and I really need to give the chemistry part another whirl...

I guess we know who will be the Teacher's Pet by taking the quiz early AND finding an error. Seriously, good job!
Dear Chemistry of Beer Students,
There was an error in this weeks e-mail. Quiz 4 was released on Wednesday, not Quiz 5. Quiz 5 will be released on March 12.
There was also an error in the Quiz. Thanks to Dustin and Brewbirds it was brought to my attention and corrected. I will review the quizzes that were taken before the error was corrected.
Thank you for your efforts in this course,
Dr. Morvant

That BB2, brother of mine, ain't he somethin'?
I'm so proud of him even though this has been such a chore to endure while
enjoying drinking a home brew on the patio.
I rolled my eyes in the beginning when he chose my beer infection under a microscope pic as an avatar but he is actually quite serious about the course.
I'm sorry that he can't get on the Borg on his PC to explain the beer glass foam issue that I had posted or respond to this post but when he logs on here his PC does seriously wiggy stuff.
Come football season I'm sure he'll start asking questions of Leigh.

I tried doing that last nite while studying but my tounge stuck to the glass with the -10F weather. So I guess it is indoor studying for me, then make some wine as that is something I can do inside. I sure aint going outside this weekend if I can avoid it!!!

I cannot use the website from my PC (hangs up on waiting for googlead adclick) but somehow its fine on BB1s. If anyone has ideas please share. Using Chrome on W7 64 bit, now running Bitdefender but before N360.
The Polycarbonate classes, I think it is a carbon with three oxygen, one double bonded. This exposes the glass to hydrogen bonds that are causing the thick foam. Water molecules form a barrier.
