Glad to hear you are in touch. Pass on our best wishes and that he is missed.

Told him that in the original post.
He said he hadn't been able to brew for a bit, and was busy. So he hasn't come on. But he did say he will make some time to pop in and say hello.

Sorry to pop your bubble berryman, but they just announced on the TV this last weekend that the Bermuda Triangle is bogus. Don't know what to tell you.

Prices seem reasonable, it's only a 10-minute drive from my house, and they are open seven days a week. No more driving 120 miles (round trip) for supplies, or waiting a week (or more) to receive internet orders. Life is GOOD.

It finally warmed up around here, almost hit the 20's today, felt really good. If this keeps up I may not go to the Bermuda Triangle and take my life, 'Dag says it's not real anyways so it might be just a wasted trip down there..........

we're on a roller coaster here, snow Thursday, Friday am, clearing and sunny this afternoon for some melting, then back to single digits overnight....
I know the area Crazy Climber is in, I'm pretty sure he got hit with over 15" yesterday.

Checked on my pale ale today, and my airlock was overflowed with krausen, and some on top of the lid. So evidently I cannot do 2.5 gallon batches without a blowoff tube. For now, I just cleaned the bucket off and replaced the airlock with a clean one, but future batches I'll just start with a blowoff tube unless I do less than 2.5 gallons.

I haven't brewed in over two weeks. That's going to change today. I will make a brown ale, and get rid of those specialty malts. After that I'm going to gravitate to stouts and IPA's, with an occasional pale ale.
