Cold crash temps

Post by Banjo-guy »

Now that I have my mini fridge and temperature controller I can pick the temperature that's right for brewing beer.
What's the best temperature to cold crash ?

Typical fridge temps. 35-37 is a good range. Cold enough that everything falls out of suspension, but not too cold where the beer can freeze.

While it would take something slightly colder than 32 degrees to freeze beer because of the alcohol, I agree that anything between 34 and 40 will get the job done. If it's good enough for your milk, it's good enough for your cold crash.

Congrats on the mini-fridge and temp controller, BTW. Gonna try some lagers, are ya?
