If you see something? Say Something!

Post by LouieMacGoo »

Since this forum is still very new there a may be things that I haven't taken care of yet. So If you see something (or don't see something)! Say something and I will do what I can to get it fixed, added or working, whatever the case might be!

I really want to make this place top notch and with your input we can make it pretty dog gone comfortable!

Thanks y'all!

LouieMacGoo.

Hey Louie.

Suggestion for your Web Links section. Anything you link to here should open in a new window if the forum gives you that option. Even though the link to the picture album you have there now is part of the BeerBorg site, it is separate from the forum. Easier to get back to the forum after you get done browsing beer pron if it opens in its own window. :D

I know it's nit picky, but I can't seem to find anything here that I don't like! It's just kind of an web development industry standard/best practices thingy.

Cheers!

Thanks gwcr, it looks like I will have to do some code work to get it working right. So I will put it on my To Do list. 8-)

Not something that is necessary, but if at all possible I did like the "Thank You" button. Maybe a +1 button? I don't know anything about forums and web coding, so if the request is too far out there, just ignore it.

I have already been checking on that! I want a "Like" or "Thank you" or "Thumbs up" button too. and there are some mods that I can pull in but it will take some time to get'r done!

Are you talking about achievement levels so when you reach 50 or 100 or 500 post you get a new title? Like Brew Fool or Ubber Brewer! We can do that I just need suggestions of something unique!

Hmmm Maybe I should hold a contest!!! :fishing:

On the nose. The newbie tier could be called swen'd haha.

Coincidentally, I find if there is a way to limit nested quotations it helps keep things cleaner. Noticing the above formatting, this came to mind.

Great place Louis, thanks!

Perhaps a glossary to help newbs translate some of the advice would be nice. I'm learning that brewing is not hard, but the jargon is at first.

Since I keep hitting the save a draft button instead of the submit button I'll ask if they can be switched so submit is first?

No big deal if not, I'm still getting used to your great site.

And many thanks for having us and all your efforts.

+1, I keep doing it too.

Also, if there was a way to always have the: "view newest/unread" options to always show themselves instead of disappearing once you are in a thread that would be cool.
