Dark Cherry Saison

Rare Sunday off, and fit a brew in.
2.5 gal

2 lbs Amber DME
1 lbs Plain light DME
El Dorado - 1\2 ozs 15 mins
El Dorado - 1\2 ozs 5 mins
1/3 0zs crushed Coriander 5 mins
1 can Dark Sweet Cherries in

1 package Belle Saison

Will taste test in 2 weeks and decide if a second can of cherries will be added.

That could be a good use of the El Dorado. I've pretty much decided I'm only using them again in a darker/more roasty/caramely kind of beer due to the strong jolly rancher flavors, they are a bit much in the pale beers I made with it, but blended in well in a dubbel and English brown ale. But fruit beer might work fine.

I used it before in a straight forward DME brew with Saf05 that came out great. But the taste seem perfect for a Saison I can't wait for this one.

Bottled this one today. Took sample tasting, should be good.

This one came our great. You seem to can't miss with Belle yeast. The cherry and el Dorado are slight but present. Along with the Saison yeast is a great combo.
