Louie, can we help with a donation?

Post by Beer-lord »

Louie, I'm not sure exactly how this forum works nor what it costs. But, it seems, its all been on you.
So, I'd like to offer to help if needed, with a small donation. I do belong to a few non beer forums and give a yearly donation via PayPal. If this is something you'd like help with, I and hopefully others, could offer a small gift.

Think about it and let me know. I really appreciate your sharing your forum home with us.

Honestly the cost (other then time) has been very little. So far I have used available free software to build the site, forum and photo gallery but there are plug ins and enhancements that I would like to do to make the experience even better, when I get the money to do it. One thing I would like to do is get a uniform theme between the main part of the website, forum and gallery but i don't have the creative or technical skill to do it and would have to pay to have it done. With that said I will be adding some advertisements to the forum as I did on the home page. Simply clicking on those ads can help me out and if you buy something from Amazon banner or the BrewDemon banner (coming soon) it helps even more!

If you prefer to just make a donation there is a donation button on the upper right hand side of the main page http://www.beerborg.com/index/ that will link you to Paypal!

PLEASE KNOW that it is not necessary to donate but it is truly appreciated and will be put back into the site to make it better!

Thanks!

Well, it ain't much but if I can spend $15 on 2 Ruin Ten bombers, I can donate $15 to this site for all you've done.
It's a done deal......you should see the email showing the donation soon.

Louie, the technical stuff you say you don't have the skills to do and would have to hire people, is it possible we have that talent right here in our "family" on the Borg? If anyone offered, would you be open to that? Just a thought.

I think it's worthwhile. Not a subscription, a contribution, a thank you, a way to be more involved.

Louie, for you giving me a place to keep up with all my Borg friends, I thank you.

I made a contribution to the BeerBorg Social, made a note of it and will do it once a year.
For the joy given to me by these jackwagons :laugh on here, it just feels right.

Now if I could get your mailing address, I'm sure a beer or two would be contributed also.

I know Louie won't ask and I have no idea how much it costs to run this forum but since the numbers have grown so much and Louie is spending his own time on this great forum, if you feel you can afford a few dollars, please put some money in the tip jar. I'm sure Louie will put it to good use and make this place even better whenever updates become possible.
Think about how much better this place is compared to others that you may visit and give what you can.

Yeah, I kicked into the tip jar for the reasons above. Then Louie set up the discount with BrewDemon and I saved that much on my first order! :jumpy:
