Any interesting bottle openers?

Post by FedoraDave »

I have a small collection of bottle openers on display in the ManCave. They vary from microbreweries to having sports team logos to a White Labs opener, a Cooperstown, NY opener, and a Bronx Zoo opener. I'd be interested in adding to my collection if anyone can get one from their local micro or brewpub, or a unique venue. I have room for at least six or seven more.

Of course, I would pay for all costs, and would even be willing to trade a homebrew or a local beer from my area.

I will be heading up north this weekend to do some winery related stuff. If we make it to Jolly Pumpkin would you be interested in one? Dont know if it is interesting or not, nor what constitutes interesting as ever since I learned how to open a bottle with pretty much anything (best skill I learned in college other than putting salt on the napkin keeps the glass from sticking) I dont pay a whole lot of attention. If so send me a PM since I will most likely be away from the forum for a few days while on the trip. Shoot, I dunno if they even have openers!

This little guy is cast iron and weighs a ton. Good for a weapon if things go bad. Opener on the bottom.

 Sorry. I first read this on my phone, and didn't realize you were looking to buy or trade Dave. Nothing to see here. Continue about your business .

I've got a cool one from Belgium, but I'm holding on. My buddy has a neat iron mermaid one, I've seen them on ebay. I do go to tag sales, I'll try to remember to keep an eye out.

I highly recommend the Larue Tactical Beverage Entry Tool...

Combination bottle opener, twist off opener, and tab can opener. And it's an armadillo.

Just used my gropener on a Happy Ending.
Love that little opener. I put it on the kitchen table in Nashville so all could enjoy. There is a learning curve and it's fun to watch people the first time they use it, but soon it becomes second nature and just works great. I got mine through Amazon. Was placing an order for some things and remembered about it, looked, they carried it so I got it.
