Dual Scale Refractometer $22!!

Post by gwcr »

Ran across this Magnum Media DUAL SCALE 0-32% Brix and 1.000-1.130SG Wort Refractometer on Amazon today for $21.99. Ships free if you are a prime member or don't care if it takes a week to get to you. Been thinking about getting one of these for a while now, and the reviews convinced me to pull the trigger. Another tool for the ol' brewing tool kit!

They pretty much all look alike to me. I bet it's the same company that makes all of them but they are just branded with a different name.
That's a good price. I think I paid about $35 or so for mine.

Keep in mind this appears to be a plastic bodied unit. I picked my metal one up with Brix scale only (doesnt bother me to convert) for $25 during Adventure's Black Friday sale. Seems to get decent enough reviews though. Appears this is the refractometer's version of the STC-1000 since at least on the surface it seems like there are several versions of this being offered for sale.

Nice! That's the one that showed up on my doorstep on Friday! Now I just need to find time to brew again so I can use it...
