Yes BrewDemon and Mr. Beer kits are pretty darn easy but sometime you need a little help from the Borg to get you on the right track. Post your questions here!

propane: several beers later....

Post by zorak1066 »

really digging propane... don't know why I was so afraid of it for so long? I am shocked at how long a tank is lasting too. finally think I got it figured out.. actually got a strong boil last time with foam! made the mistake of blowing on it to get the foam to drop rather than boiling over...lol. now I use a water spray bottle. . . and the blichman burner does in fact 'sip' propane.

it's a very zen experience brewing in the yard instead of over a stove.

Yeah, I like it too. And it took my wife buying the burner (to get me out of the kitchen). Then I bought an outdoor sink. Now all I need is a big umbrella. And maybe a storage locker. Or a shed...

Ya gotta love the Blichman burner!! I most likely will be get a second one this year. We use it a lot for cook outs too. Did you get the leg extensions?

I upgraded to the Blichman from an SP40 a couple years ago. Worth every dime of the price.

It's well worth it for the fact that it keeps SWMBO happy by letting me brew outside and keep the smell of boiling wort and hops away from the house, which she is not a fan of.

I bought a Darkstar burner and boiling pot combo a while back and have done around a half dozen beers with it. It does make for a nice brewing day.
