Using a Starter

So I know this has been reiterrated a million times on here but I wanted to state it again. If you have the ability to do a starter, which everyone can, do it! You don't need a stir plate to do it, although it does help.
Here is my beer fermenting away.
The first pictures is about 5-6 hours after pitching the yeast. There are a few bubbles on top, which is just the beginning of fermentation for this one. 10 hours later I needed to remove the air lock and put a blow off on because it was going nuts! A healthy yeast pitch amount is so vital to getting your fermentation going fast and clean so it doesn't stress and leave off flavors behind.
