In case you missed it Mr. Beer has decided to shut down the Mr Beer Fans Forum. I think many of us understand how many of the members of that forum feel after what happen with the Mr. Beer Community forum. The_Professor who has been a moderator at that forum has directed the Mr. Beer Fans forum members to the BeerBorg and I think we can expect an influx of users coming over to the Borg.
I have no doubt that all of you veteran members will be your typical selves and will be as welcoming as ever.
For all of you that are Mr Beer Fan refugees, We look forward to having you as part of the Borg. Please know that we feel your pain as many of us were part of the Mr.Beer Community forum when they made major changes a few years back. I as well as many others didn't like the directions that Mr. Beer was taking with their community and BeerBorg.com was born.
Again welcome and please feel free to ask any question you might have and we will do all we can to easy your transition.

First and foremost, thank you for the many years of support, suggestions, advice and commentary you have given us on the Mr. Beer Fans Forum. It has been a pleasure seeing this site grow and flourish over the years, and we sincerely appreciate your continued support and patronage.
In light of new company growth, including our new website, new product launches, and a whole new Mr. Beer Community, we are saddened to inform you that we will be shutting down the Mr. Beer Fans forum starting next Monday, August 10, 2015. There are many reasons behind this decision, most important being the impressive success our newest Mr. Beer forum has seen. By shutting down the Mr. Beer Fans Forum, we are hoping to consolidate the Mr. Beer brand and followers to one cohesive community hosted on our new website to continue growing the homebrewing community in one place.
We would like to invite all of you to join our current community http://community.mrbeer.com/. It is easier than ever to sign up, with options to connect using your social media accounts in addition to our traditional login. The new community forum has a significantly updated system with more speed and security, as well as the option to add more advanced features and options in the future in order to evolve with our fans. We do hope to see your continued participation, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the discontinuing of mrbeerfans may cause you. I just read the same on Reddit a little while ago.....mrbeerfans.com forum is shutting down. It's a shame to think after how bad they screwed up the Mr. Beer forum upgrade they chose to keep it instead.

Despite their mess ups with the Mr. Beer community forum they still have over 16,000 members there, whereas MBF only had 4800 and they hadn't spent a penny on MBF in years.

Usually a good forum has about 15% to 20% active membership and from what I can see from the membership page there they have about 10% which is still about 1600 people
Up until Monday we had about 10% participation here on the Borg. I'm guessing that is up slightly at the moment.

Like, put its log in forms on the forum, then use some CSS to resize and position it as a sidebar or... I'm sure someone has thought of that before. It's probably a bigger PITA than it sounds.
