BigPapaG's Mid Summer Nights Dreams

Post by Beer-lord »

Alas, the final bottle of the gift that kept on giving from BigPapaG. I thank him because he sent me beers I don't brew and rarely buy and took me outside my beer-box. I'm so glad for this too. My eyes have been opened.
I didn't take a pic of this but the color was beautiful.....a burnt orange or crimson color. The aroma was all Belgian and I knew when I read that the label that it had Simcoe, Citra and Amarillo in it that I was in for a hell of a ride.
This isn't hoppy, just plain flavorfull! My tongue smiled, touched the roof of my mouth and smiled some more.
No wonder if won so many awards. Thanks BigPapaG for sharing your beers with me. I've thoroughly enjoyed them all!

Thanks for the kind review Paul!

I'm really glad you were able to enjoy the journey I took you on!

I just got back in town today and will be able to drink yours... well... Probably tomorrow!

Was away at the State Fair havin' some fun and picking up these babies...
(The silver was for the Mid-Summer Nights Dreams, the Bronze for an India Pale Lager I did)...

(Note: I already drank the two commercial brews you sent...)

Both were good and I had not had them before... I wrote my review notes on paper and have yet to enter them here, but I will.
