Some of you may recall Emma Christensen the author of Brew Better Beer, Well she is working on a Cider book that is due out in Fall of 2017 and she is in need of some additional testers.
From Emma,
I could use a few more recipe testers for this project. If you have any friends who might be interested, please put them in touch! No prior brewing experience is needed -- the only requirement is that they like to drink cider.
For your hard work helping me with this book, I'll be sending you each an honorarium of $15 for each 1-gallon batch and $25 for each 5-gallon batch that you test. I'll keep a tally of the recipes you each make and send checks out at the end of the project next year. There may also be a few recipes that end up being more expensive to test (fresh apples can be EXPENSIVE!).
If you are interested in being a tester for Emma's new book please send me PM with your first and Last names and the email address you would like Emma to contact you with.
I can tell you that testing for the Brew Better Beer book was a lot of fun and a great learning opportunity.

Step right up, don't be shy, there are still plenty or spaces left for testers of all skill levels, and you might get a free book out of it!

Leigh, we are in the heart of Virginia apple land and there is a fresh cider place right around the corner. The stores are currently stocked with fresh pressed, pasteurized cider.
BB2 and I have been talking about making some but we have never done one before.
Can you explain the being a tester part in a bit more detail please?
I assume you mean we are making one of her recipes and reporting back but what all is involved?
Does she have any quick cider recipes (low abv, non-fortified) that she wants tested? Or something with some malt so the yeast is happier? (or something with a nutrient schedule for same reason)? I'd be willing/happy to test one, but not something that's going to tie up a fermenter for months.
Thank you everyone that sent me a PM I have sent her 8 names and she will contact you as needed.

I hope I'm not too late, but I'd like to volunteer too. My PM has more details, but my one cider competition entry to date was an award winner, and I am a Certified beer and mead judge.
