Enjoy By (All editions)

Post by Kealia »

This just might be the best batch that they had released in a while. Or maybe my taste buds have settled back down after scaling back on IPAs recently. Either way, this hits the nose and wakes you up and makes love to your olfactory senses. For such a heavily hopped beer it's also crystal clear, though. It's soooo purdy.

It has all the dankiness (yes, that's a word now) you want, it's bitter enough to be complex without being overpowering, and the finish is just "wow". After being disappointed in a number of batches I call this redemption.

Yeah, they poured it in a Lagunitas mug but the Stone hat made for a nice back up IMO.

I apologize for the generic description but I didn't stop last night to really write down proper notes, sorry.

Just go get some, ok?

Ok, you convinced me to give this beer another try. I will go hunting later. The last time I had it (April?) it I though it was "meh", and I wished I was drinking a homebrew.

I agree Mashani...the last few I've had have only been "meh" in my opinion also. But if Kealia says it's good, I'm willing to give it another go. I'll look for it also.

But even the not so great have still been good beers to my taste buds. They say they don't change the recipe but they have changed the hops for sure. I've got no problem with changing things around.

I hope you guys like it, too. Like I said, maybe it's my own taste buds but this batch (after a number of "meh" batches) is just popping for me.

Its very good. But I must profess i don't think it's their best. Actually, I need to try another one later in the week to see but this one doesn't seem as dank, as fruity, as pineapply as some of the other ones.

Still, I love this beer. Even their avg beers are awesome to me. But I'm easy, eh?

Sounds like I need to give this a try! I had the 7-4-15 and loved it, so if that was 'meh' I need to pick this one up!

In my book, every Enjoy By is an above above DIPA. Some are better than others. These just have the right 'zing' for my taste buds.
This one is not their best IMO but definitely above average.
Go get some. Try some fresh and try some near the end and you'll see why they say "Enoy By".

I enjoyed one of the 12oz bottles from the 6-pack that my friend brought over last week. Yeah, I am really liking this one.

Sitting back relaxing and having this Enjoy By. This is really good. Much better than the last few for me. It just seems more balanced than the last few. The dankness is not so pronounced in this one, which I like. Great flavor, great bitterness and great aroma all working together. The last couple seemed to be nothing but dank for me, and that turns me off a little. I like the dank, but give me some flavor with it too. This one does just that.

Had one tonite. Not the best I've had of this series but balanced is the key word. I actually like the 'shock and awe' versions and I can't remember the one that stands out the most but I think it was April 2013.
Still, while many are better than others, I've not had an awful one.

And....my lovely wife brought me home a bomber of Enjoy By 12.25.15 yesterday.
Woot!

EDIT: I changed the thread title to be more generic to allow for all releases of this wonderful nectar to be discussed in a single thread.
