I was finally able to enjoy a bottle of Phils Belgians. I did not get a picture of it but... I hope I can explain it with the justice it is due.
Earthy but not over powering, real Belgian spice bite and aroma. A bit fruity with a dry finish. A nice white frothy head to start , that slowly diminishes to a nice inch to half inch head while drinking, there is a hint of candy on the back end. A very enjoyable nicely balanced beer.
Phil once again made a very nice brew. I really enjoy the polar opposite brews of Phils.

Thanks for the generous and kind words, Bret. Funny thing is, there's no candi sugar in it at all. It's all the yeast and the hops giving the beer its character.

Yep, I have to say Phil has opened my taste to brews I would not normally try. If anyone has a chance to have a beer or two of his you will not be disappointed.FedoraDave wrote:Sounds like a winner! Congrats to the brewer and the consumer!

Very true. I was lucky enough to try 3 of his, and they were awesome.brewin bull wrote:Yep, I have to say Phil has opened my taste to brews I would not normally try.
