WLP051 California Ale V

Post by Beer-lord »

Looking back, I only see where I used this yeast twice (over 3 years ago) and my notes on the recipes were positive and I'm thinking of trying some again sometime this summer when my yeast back is low.
I actually can't remember anything at all about it (feel free to joke about my memory here) but the notes say I liked the beer lots. One was an IPA and the other a strong pale ale which I think this yeast is likely best for. It's more flocculent than 001 with more attenuation so I would think it would make a good, full bodied beer.
Searching the forum, I only see this mentioned once so if anyone has an current experience with it, please chime in.

Well ok. You're old and forgetful. :p

I know I've used it, but like you it's been awhile and I can't remember a thing.

Nice try but your Jedi mind tricks won't work on me. I have hops in my veins and am immune.
