Sometimes it's good to take it easy

Post by FedoraDave »

I try to brew every Sunday. Not only does it keep the pipeline flowing, but I consider it therapeutic. It's my time to do something just for myself, and it's creative and relaxing for me. And I get beer out of it.

But sometimes an AG batch is more time and effort than I want to expend, and I've formulated some extract recipes for those times. Today is one of those times. It's been very hectic at work this month, and I need an easy brew day. A Cascadian Dark Ale, with Light DME, Wheat DME, and some cold-steeped grains for color, body, and flavor, is on the docket this morning. It's easy to make, and it'll be a great style for the warmer weather to come.
