Just wanted to make sure anyone in the Detroit/Ann Arbor Michigan Area is aware of this event on Saturday, February 4th. My homebrew Club will be participating and I have brewed my Citra-Nilla IPA for this competition. I would love to see you all come out and meet you in person. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. If you decide to attend come visit me at the Sons of Liberty booth and try the 4 beers we will have on tap
These are the beers we will have on tap.
Sour Blueberry Wheat Ale
Cocoa & Toasted Coconut Stout

Our annual homebrew festival continues in 2017, featuring seven clubs from throughout southeast Michigan!
Tickets include: 20+ unique home brew recipes, a hot dog stand & light appetizers, a commemorative tasting glass, and a one-of-a-kind beer fest experience. Tickets go on sale at the beginning of December, making this a great holiday gift!

Last year the Rat Fest was on Feb 20th so it didn't conflict with Asheville. I wasn't happy when I learned that this years event was on the same weekend as Asheville because I had already committed to brewing for Rat Fest.
Technically this isn't really homebrew because it is brewed at the brewery facility using the brewery's equipment and the brewery's ingredients and it's overseen by one of the brewers. The recipes are submitted by the homebrew clubs and approved by the brewery and when we go to brew it we have to sign a waiver that the beer was brewed under the direction of Arbor Brewing Co with all that is stated above. Arbor has been doing this for 8 or so years and if there was a problem with what they were doing it would have been addressed by now.
