Just a quick question for all the BBQ gurus on the board...
have any of you used Royal Oak briquettes and if so, how in your opinion,
do they compare to Kingsford?

Yes and they burn good, Kingsford is just a good name and whatever you can get the cheapest works either way. I only use briquettes as a base and like lump and wood for the BBQ/smoke flavor.teutonic terror wrote:Hello BORG!![]()

Glad you liked it. Wikipedia is usually close but not always 100% acurite but good reading. As far as which kind? they both work about the same in my opinion....I like mixing in lump coal also, burns a little hotter and faster, but a little more BBQ flavor I think.teutonic terror wrote:Thanks Berryman...
I already knew some but not all of that history, and it was eye opening
