I am lag and new to this forum. I last brewed some beer about 48 years ago but stopped due to many overseas assignments. I just bouht a BrewDemon 2 gallon kit and have a question.
Are the plastic bottle caps that come with the kits reusable or should new caps be used each time beer is bottled?

Hi lag and welcome to the Borg!
If you clean and sanitize them after use and sanitize before using again, they should last you a long time with no problems.
Thank you for your service!

Re: Plastic Bottle Caps
The plastic caps can be re-used over and over again. I usually replace mine when the PET bottle no longer gets rock hard; although ... their life can be extended another batch or three. I bought 1000 of them on eBay a few years ago for 10 USD.
PRO TIP: I'll wrap a course of blue painter's tape around the cap's bottom so there's a 'seal' when transporting beer offsite just so I don't run the risk of running afoul with open container laws.

Re: Plastic Bottle Caps
When you stop feeling a little bit of "squish" when you fully tighten the cap, that's getting closerish to when they will stop holding full pressure. They will still work for a while even after that though.
