Hi Ian, welcome aboard!
My advice is to learn the process of brewing using basic proven recipes. Later you can advance your systems and create your own recipes. It may seem daunting at first, but it will become routine in time. Study and practice will yield great beer.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
