Re: Full Keg Storage Question (not refridgerated)

I had a small party this weekend, killed off one keg and tapped into a bunch of bottles. Cleaning these bottles sucked so I want to avoid that as much as possible.

Get togethers with some bigger drinkers tend to put a dent in the supply chain.

BUT ..... we did have fun.

Full Keg Storage Question (not refridgerated)

I'm looking for the best practical way to manage all 6 of my kegs. In baseball terms and under my current equipment set up I'd like to have: AT BAT (2) Keep 2 on tap at ALL times in the kegerator ON DECK (1) Keep one cold, carbonated and ready on deck to replace one "AT BAT" IN THE HOLE (2...

Re: What are you drinking?

Last night after football, we built a fire in the firepit and tapped into a Scottish Ale I kegged earlier in the week. It was / is pretty darn good!

I think I'm OK. Little fellas are bubbling away nicely. I moved them out of the laundry tub this morning.

Hard Cider Crisis Diverted - I hope.

Today I decided to do another batch of that Stupid Easy Cider. The plan called for 2 gallons of Motts apple juice fermented with S 05 for about 3 weeks in my LBK. Once fermented, I rack it to one of my 2.5 kegs, back sweeten with a 1/2 gallon of juice and hook up in the kegerator. I sanitized my LBK...

Re: OMG Mr. Beer is freaking hilarious

Exactly, this is where the expense and quality is missing from their business side to keep customers returning. It took me a whole 4 months to move past HME's. I agree, but mine was more of a financial decision. My local beer distributor opened a beer and wine homebrew section about 2 years ago. I ...

I figured Ray was still in mourning from that beat down Jake Arrietta and the Cubs laid on our beloved Buccos in the wild card game.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?

We killed off a keg of Stupid Easy Cider yesterday. And as if I had planned it, I have 5 gal of a Scottish Ale ready to refill that empty keg tonight!

Yay me! PPP

I'm sipping some Stupid Easy Cider that I kegged last week. Not to shabby for how easy this was.

I wandered into one of those kitchen stores at the mall today. They had 2 Mr Beer refills on sale. Orig 17.99. Reduced to 14.46. Then 75% off. Plus a today only 20% off more. I opened them first and the exp date is 10/16/15 Ended up at 2.99 plus tax each. I guess I'll be brewing MB Oktoberfest later...
