A cream ale. Not our RCE, but just a plain-jane cream. Still, going down nice paired with a jar of pickled eggs from our coup. Need to get off my duff and make our Honey Rye Cream Ale.... mmmmm

What a difference a few more days make on carb. I don’t force carb, @ 8lb serving pressure. One week it’s drinkable but a few more days better.

You are definitely right. I've been fast carbing for years but while it may be very drinkable, waiting for the balance a few days or a week can make a huge difference.

Yes I have only been kegging a couple years and really like it so much better then bottling. Yes one week under pressure and drink, but a little longer is better. Still faster then bottle carb.

I've been drinking that 3 way Belgian split. (100%5L, 50/50% 5L/180L, and 100% 180L).

The simple explanation is the darker the better in this case. I slightly over bittered it, the darker candi sugar adds a bit more sweetness that covers it up, but the pure 5L one is too bitter to be what it's supposed to be... it's more like a Pils. Which is not bad, just not what it's supposed to be.

Been drinking that "Belgian Stout". Half of it is great. The other half is getting dumped. It was split between fermenters and one of them had a leaking spigot. It was leaking profusely so I rapidly sanitized another fermenter and moved it into it. Well, I sanitized too rapidly and something most foul got into it. Tastes like lighter fluid mixed with black peppercorns and battery acid (or something like that). Yum.

I was at a family reunion of sorts. We have a large family (I have 7 siblings). I've lost track of how many adults are in the next generation.

One of my nieces came up to me yesterday and told me that there was a 4 pack in the food refrigerator, and one of them was mine.

I'm not sure why I made the cut, whether I'm a favorite uncle, or because she knows I brew or because I walked in the door at the right time.

Frankly, I don't care. I got a Lagunitas "The Waldos' Special Ale"

It's a triple IPA. 11.7% ABV.

I've had heady topper before, but this is a first.

Thanks, Maddy.

I'll never get a limited release beer in Utah due to the way they relate beer here.

Having a modified version of the sweet ‘Lil Red I brew a lot. I didn’t have enough redx left so had to sub some other stuff I had on hand including the hops. It still is good although I forgot to save what I put into it.
