Bottled the cinnamon half of NB Brickwarmer Holiday Red. The cinnamon is subtle, if detectable. The cinnamon stick sank into the trub, which may have something to do with it.

Still nailing down my version of a coconut IPA. Got the last pound of Belga hops at my LHBS. It is 6 months old (in a nitro sealed bag) and I got an extra $8 off. He's not going to get any more since no one asks for it.
So, I'll tweak the recipe with some of what the original R&R used and some of my 'make up' stuff. Sunday looks like the day.

I bottled my "'effd up Cascadian" Dark IPA.

Now I need a label for it. What does an "'effd up Cascadian" look like?

Wish I had them. I'm getting sick of drinking the same beer to get the bottles.

I brewed up an ESB of sorts with stuff I found at the LHBS and some of my hops from the freezer. I'll post the recipe.

Brewing up my very first batch of hard lemonade this morning. I am attempting to be more mindful of the lag time for seasonal brews. I enjoy a good beer/cider any time of year, but some of my friends/associates are in the "appropriate for the moment" camp. Thus, in order to have a refreshing lemonade for their spring enjoyment, I am starting a batch whilst admiring the Christmas tree. This will also be my first attempt at a yeast starter. Having researched how challenging the acidic environment of lemon juice can be for the yeast, I will be feeding it all morning in hopes of making a gentle and successful transition. Keep your fingers crossed!
