brewing my first attempt at a porter
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Brewing a Belgian Witbier with my last old Mr B extracts;

2 cans Witty Monk
1 lb Wheat DME
W-06 wheat yeast
0.5 oz Saaz boiled for 15 minutes.

Last summer at a family reunion, a cousin told me this was the best beer he had ever tasted.

I got a mountain of grains and a couple ounces of hops, and their sole purpose in life was to come together and become a batch of 2Daves Irish Red Ale.

Who am I to deny them their destiny?

Bottled 2.5 gallon batch of Diablo IPA poured over a Citra hops laced yeast cake. Wow what a taste of Spruce and a nice 6.0% ABV.

also, bottled another Blue Moon clone-style 2.75 gallon batch with an ounce of Coriander and orange zest from 4 oranges...again, SWMBO will love me for another year after this one. 4.7% ABV

Brewed a 10 gallon batch of Hazelnut Brown Ale on Saturday, with a little excitement with the MLT. It seems that 25 pounds of grain and 8 gallons water just don't quite fit as I had hoped. Had a little spill over but 99.9% of it fit. Just wanted to share some pictures from the brew day.

I do as well. Always try to snap off a few on brew days to share. Little messy but it worked out in the end. Fermenters going nice and crazy today.

Brewed a slight Frankenbier today with a bag of TBM Golden Lager boiled for 15 minutes to help clean it up and purify the hop oils and then added a can of Old MB HCCD to it and poured the wort on top of a 2nd gen yeast cake that had coriander seeds in it from my Blue Moon style clone. It has a very citrus-y aroma to it. The roiling & toiling of the fermentation is going strong 3 hours later. Shuld be an interesting flavor flave when ready to drink in two months plus. :muahaha: :muahaha: :muahaha:
