Well, we might not know defense this year but we'll never forget food.
But, were they drinking Lite beer? Sorry about that. We are getting much better in that department now.

Re: The No Post Post
There were some different lite beers floating around, Sparky was drinking Fat Tire, then my Pils on tap and then after the game had Guinness. Close to 4 gals. went quick I tapped it about 8:30 it was gone by 11:15. Also had a request to email the recipe for my North Port Pils to one of the guys, but can't remember if he has brewed or has a friend that has brewed. He emailed me from his phone right there so I had his email.Beer-lord wrote:Well, we might not know defense this year but we'll never forget food.

I tried a Colombian beer ... in a Colombian restaurant. It was ok. Nothing special. Don't remember the name.
Re: The No Post Post
Just washed my yeast and letting it settle over night before I collect it and split it up between 3 White Labs vials.
After about 20 minutes it was starting to separate nicely. Its just too late right now to mess with it. Won't hurt to sit out for the night at room temp and it will be nice and separated when I wake up.

You could cold crash it for 24 hours (or more) then decant and then add to the vials. You likely already plan to do this but a sanitized funnel is very helpful getting the yeast into the vials. I went back to using jars as I've found the vials don't hold enough cells for me.

I was planning on doing that but behold our new refidgerator does not accomodate this thing standing up. I would have to bring it downstairs to my kegerator and i'm just too lazy tonight. lol

Just bringing the no-post back on top. Was thinking should I change my name from Happy Hound Brewery to the Empty Glass Brewery? No, that won't never happen. I always have some beers somewhere to fill a glass, and when the glass is empty and I decide that's all for the night I shut it down until the next day. Gives you something to look forward too after a long day of work............OK I rambled, what I like about the no-post thread

Nice day for grilling, we won't have too many more this year. Cooked some porkchops in my small smoker for 2 hours low heat and now finishing them off on the grill and also some Italian sausage with peppers and onions,

Re: The No Post Post
Cwappy day here, no grillin for a while me thunks. This morn got up early and darn near empty'd da garden, only pie pumpkins and some decorative corn left. Picked the apple tree barren as it's gettin cold, every thing changed colors to brown in a week and apples are getting soft. Moved some equipment to the shop to get worked on when I get time, then the skies opened up, it's raining now. Screws up the next couple days for me unless it dries enough overnight to dry up da mud it's creating.
Life is short, live it to it's fullest!

Sorry it will probably be a while. If it is being delivered to a residential address it will be later this afternoon/evening. They deliver commercial air, then commercial ground, pick up commercial, then deliver residential. Anything I order I ship to work.

Spent most of the day going to the store for the local meat sale. Spent $398 to buy meat that a year ago would have only coast about $300. Prices keep going up with no increase in income. Then came home and had to sort and repackage the meat into foodsaver bags, took 3 hours for that, but need to keep the meat good till we get to it. Was able to rack my Vienna Lagers ( 2 LBK's) to start the secondary fermentation. Man it smelt sooooooo goooooood. can't wait to give it a taste. Just think what I could have done with $398 for brewing upgrades! I can dream, and saving my penny's to do just that hopefully next year.

Re: The No Post Post
With the possible exception of your wife can you guys think of anything more beautiful in the morning than a steaming hot cup of coffee accompanied by a perfectly toasted English muffin dripping with butter and honey?
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
