Trying to recondition the keg before use...

Gonna have to either buy or make one to add to my ever expanding list of things..

Whew... Got it off finally...

Was a lot tougher than the gas side although it looked just as bad...

Take a peek at the pic below... Think it needs a new washer?

The old one was just disintegrated on both... (New washer on the left for comparison)

Anyway, all new o-rings for dip tubes and connections... The lid o-ring was ok, as were the poppets so cleaned and sanitized everything and it's ready for a batch of cider!

I usually get them at my LHBS but might have to look into this...

Of course, I don't keep too many around...

Usually 2 lid rings, a half dozen connector rings and a half dozen dip tube rings, 2-4 poppets and an extra of each gas and liquid quick connects, two lengths of hose and a couple hose clamps. That's my repair kit basically...

EDIT: Oh yeah, and an extra picnic tap and one of those CO2 injector thingies with spare CO2 cartridges in case I run out of gas on a Sunday.

You can buy cheap bulk o-rings on Amazon and if you have prime it's free shipping. I'm going to post all the links below. The dip tube o-rings are so cheap I change them out EVERY time so I never have to worry about any issues. Has not failed me yet.

Pack of 100 rubber dip tube o-rings. If you prefer silicone the can be had in a 100 pack here.

Pack of 25 silicone post o-rings. I don't change these until I need to so I bought 25 but the come in packs of 100 in both silicon and rubber.
