IMHO gas is the way to go. As Dave said more control. Also when checking out ranges be sure to insure you have a top with plenty of BTU output. Agree with Rick I have a small fridge and temp will go all the way down to 32 deg. Check you seal around the door and how the temp wire is going in may have kink in it allowing cool air to escape.

Haven't brewed in 2 1/2 months. With all the rain that came and the water going up at the lake was concerned that the power would be turned off to the RV so took everything out of fridge and brought it home to the fermentation chamber to keep cool. Hope to get it back so I can brew this week.

IMHO I would make a list of all things needed to make it happen then research on pricing and shipping and compare cost to each other on new rig or buying separate then take it from there. remember the more you save on the rig the more you have for your beer making.

Tape it to the side of fermenter to control fermentation not air temp.

Just for __its and giggles, I would recommend that you spend some time on You Tube and check out some of the builds they have on there. Just type in kegerater or keezer and check out the vids. They have some neat builds and keep the cost down also recommendations for a lot of situations.
